"You are beautiful, in every single way.  Words can't bring you down."

Those words are so very important.  Though we say words can't bring us down, they surely can.  That one, somewhat joking, mean comment that you give or receive hurts.  Even if you are joking.  There's always a little truth in a joke.  Without even knowing it we can ruin someone's whole day.  Or we can make it better.  I know for me when I go to the store and someone tells me things like, "I love your hair!" or "You're so pretty." or "You should be a model!" brighten my day.  Think about how much happier we'd all be if we each gave two people those compliments a day.  I know that I love making someone's day better.  Even if it's just commenting on a blog, or photo on instagram, or something on Facebook.  We can make people happy.  

We need to all remember that we are ALL beautiful.  Even if we don't feel that.  We all have those days where we don't want to do ANYTHING.  Trust me, I know.  Even this week for school I didn't feel like getting up and looking cute.  I wanted to wear jeans and t-shirts everyday.  Which there is nothing wrong with!  But you can't always look like a slob.  ;)  I did most of the days though...haha. ;)  Anyway, we don't have to be all made up to be beautiful.  We are always beautiful.  We are beautiful because God made us in the image of Himself.  We don't need to care what other people are constantly thinking, but what God thinks.  We need to be pleasing to Him and glorify Him.

one week down.

The first week of school is now over.  It was a lot better than I thought it would be.  I actually enjoyed my first week of college.  I don't really enjoy school but for some reason I do enjoy this.  I've never been to a public school before so this whole classroom set up was all new to me.  In a few of my classes we had to say what we want to major in.  Well, I said that I wasn't sure yet, since I was only 16.  I got a  few shocked faces.  Oh well.  ;)  

I think I'm going to do very well this semester.  I'm taking two English classes, a math class, and a music fundamentals class.  So far the easiest one has been the music.  That's only  because I've taken piano for 10 years.  The things we're talking about come quite easy to me.  While some other people in my class are freaking out because our professor is going to have us play some scales, I'm just smiling about it because I know how.  ;)

This is the funniest, cutest little boy ever.  He's adorable!  We go to church with his family and I had the pleasure of taking his pictures.  He's about to turn two and is so crazy!  Here are just a few.  :)

Back on Track

I'm going to try SO hard to get this blog back on track.  I've been so busy this summer and because of that I've lost many followers and haven't been able to post. I've barely been home this whole summer, and if I have it's to eat and sleep.  ;)  Starting this month, August, I'm going to try to post at least one time per week. Surely it shouldn't be too hard.  

I'm hoping to grow this blog back up and gain more readers/followers.  I think another problem is that I changed my url a months ago so not many people see my posts...  If you do, I'd love it if you could comment!  :)  Wanted to post some recent self portraits I've taken.  Hope you like them!

Hello everyone!  :)  This month I believe only a few of us are doing this...  I still wanted to participate even though I've been gone for the past week!  I was lucky enough to have taken 10 pictures within one day while we were on vacation.  Here are my 10 on 10 pictures and don't forget to check out Madeline's!  :)

10 on 10 | June

I'm so thankful to be added to this project!  This is such a great group of girls that are all wonderful photographers.  :)  I look forward to next month when I have more time and can put more effort into it.  :)  Be sure to check out Rachel Leigh's post!  :)  By the way, I'm SUCH a failure!  I was supposed to have this post up waaay earlier today but my computer and our internet is acting funky.
